WebTrends is a leader in web analytics. WebTrends Web Analysts are responsible for driving analytic insights and strategic thinking for our enterprise clients to help them maximize insight from their WebTrends solution. The Web Analyst is assigned to several clients simultaneously, providing web analytic solution design, analysis and interpretation support to clients directly and through other consultants.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design online business performance measurement strategies that align WebTrends solution with customer needs.
- Gather client business objectives and assist clients in identifying key metrics and methodologies for measuring success of clients' website and/or online marketing programs.
- Guide clients in defining measurement strategy, vision, and processes needed to support business objectives and improve client decision making.
- Perform analysis and interpretation of visitor behavior data as relates to site conversion performance and marketing program performance.
- Develop and present findings and recommendations related to site design, process design, marketing strategies and tactics based on analytic data to multiple audiences including client senior management.
Interaction
This position is a customer-facing position. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers is required. Ability to understand customer requirements and our products and then combine and translate that information into increased customer success is critical to your success.
This position operates in a team-oriented environment. As a result, the candidate must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships internally with other consultants, the sales team, sales engineers, the account management team, product management, customer support and product marketing.
Required Skills/Education
- Bachelors degree required. Special consideration given for MBA.
- Minimum of 4-5 years analytical experience including experience in a e-business, database marketing, e-commerce or similar environment.
- Proven success in driving web site and/or marketing campaign performance improvements through data analysis.
- Experience with web analytic applications.
- Experience with web design, content management, or emarketing technologies preferred.
- Superior statistical and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Data-mining, relational database and/or business intelligence experience beneficial.
- Must be able distill complex data into accessible concepts and communicate clearly.
- Must be confident and self-directed.
Working Conditions
This position is located in a high rise in downtown Portland. Travel requirements will vary but may be as much as 50%.
