Job Description

The Director of Consulting Services has management responsibility over all of the client facing consulting activities including project management, strategic and technical consulting, and training services.

The Director of Client Services has primary responsibility for the execution and completion of implementations of WebTrends business solutions at clients in North America. You will manage customer relationships during the implementation period and are responsible for driving a high level of customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Continually develop new business by identifying target clients, networking, meeting with target clients, and selling all Resources' service lines.
  • Cultivate and expand existing business relationships through frequent communication and regular client visits.
  • Sell projects to new and existing clients, clarifying the scope of projects with clients, identifying business solutions, presenting qualified Associates to the client, and negotiating billing arrangements.
  • Identify future project needs of client and minimizes engagement disruption through managing engagement and ensuring clients' expectations are met.
  • Drive the recruitment of consultants, conduct interviews and assess skill set and competencies of candidates, negotiate compensation.
  • Maintain strong communications within the Consulting organization and provide the bridge to the rest of the organization for your team members.

Required Skills/Education

  • Ten (10) years of experience, including Big Four public accounting/consulting organizations with experience and management level roles in said organization.
  • Bachelor degree required.
  • Experience identifying opportunities with clients, networking and generating leads.
  • A high level of enthusiasm for building a business and a personal sense of urgency and capacity to overcome obstacles.
  • Demonstrated track record of positive change in all positions held.
  • Incumbent must pass background check

Personal Characteristics

  • Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients' needs and issues.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate complex concepts/business issues verbally and in writing to clients, consultants and management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects and proven ability to develop business relationships.

Interaction

This position is a customer-facing position. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers is required. Ability to understand customer requirements and our products and then combine and translate that information into increased customer success is critical to your success.

This position operates in a team-oriented environment. As a result, the candidate must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships internally with other consultants, the sales team, sales engineers, the account management team, product management, customer support and product marketing.

Working Conditions

This position is located in a high rise in downtown Portland. Travel requirements will vary but may be as much as 20%.
